Easing the impact of Covid 19 on the membership
On the 23rd of March our president announced a lockdown commencing on the 27th of March. This had an immediate impact on all our lives as well as our club.
As per TRANSNET National Ports Authority (TNPA) the harbour is currently closed, and we do not have access to the club. However, Paul van Tellingen, who is staying in the marina during lockdown, has been doing daily inspections of all boats, mooring lines, fenders and sails, and will continue to do so until we have access to the marina again.
With the implementation of Level 4 from the 1st of May, clubs, restaurants and social gatherings are still on the prohibited list and it looks like this will be the case for the foreseeable future.
