SAILING NEWS

This weekend we are running the Carpe Diem Race which starts at 13h00 from the bridge hut.  The course will be confirmed on the racing WhatsApp group and announced on Chanel 06.  Please do not forget to keep a listening watch on channel 14.

Have you signed up for the Novamarine West Coast Offshore on the 27/28 November?  We currently have 11 boats with the possibility of another 5 joining the fleet.  Entries close 17h00 on 17th November 2020.  We are looking forward to Saldanha Bay Yacht Club’s fantastic hospitality.  They always make us feel very welcome home away from home.  Don’t forget to let us know how many braai packs at R90p/p you will be requiring as cut off is on close of entry.

Mykonos Resort are running an accommodation special to all 2021 Mykonos Offshore Race competitors and their families.  Don’t forget the early bird catches the worm,  there are limited moorings so please enter soon as possible if you wish to secure a mooring.  Currently we have 20 entries.  Please remember we can only confirm your entry on receipt of your entry fee. We are delighted to let you know that we have managed to secure the following sponsors – Seaport Supply, Harken, Intasure Marine Insurance, Viking Life Saving Equipment, Atlantic Yachting and Club Mykonos being the naming sponsor for the last 30 years.

The Sailing Office are delighted to let you all know that we will be adding one more Twilight race to the sailing calendar, so instead of the last race being on the 25 November it will now be the 2nd December. Happy Sailing.

Please support the RCYC Cares initiative, the challenge is on between the “Cruisers” & “Racers”  as to who can donate the most parcels?  Currently “Our Cruisers” are in the lead… the race is on.
