Date change for Mykonos Offshore 2021
For most of us the Mykonos Offshore is the favourite event of the year. Rather than cancel, we have decided to postpone the race to the weekend of Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April. Hopefully the state of the Covid pandemic will allow us to run a successful event that weekend. Tuesday the 27th of April is a public holiday allowing you to bring your boat back on the Monday or Tuesday. Club Mykonos will shift any accommodation bookings you have already made to that weekend.
Medium Distance Race 20th of Feb
Although we have had to postpone the Mykonos race, we will be running a Medium Distance Race on Sat 20th February, with a mass start at 10am. There will be a virtual mark in the vicinity of Llandudno, around Robben Island and then finish back at the Bridge Hut.
We will decide on the position of the virtual mark shortly before the race once we have received the forecast for the wind strength and direction. There will most likely be two virtual marks, one for each fleet to ensure you can finish the race in a reasonable time and taking into account any possible curfew that may be in place.
