Strong Lines, Strong Splices

Royal Cape Yacht Club members and guests are invited to join Southern Ropes for an informative evening on rope knowledge, yachting braids, and splicing.

The session will open with a short introduction to the company by Adrian Kuttel, followed by Peter Gardener, who will speak about the different yachting braids manufactured by Southern Ropes and their applications in the sailing environment. The evening will conclude with a live splicing demonstration by Ryan Du Plessis.  Both Peter and Ryan will be available for any Q&A after the session.

There will also be a lucky draw on the evening, with prizes including a Southern Ropes Rope Bundle, a R500 shop voucher, and three caps and soft shackles prize sets.

A great opportunity for sailors and boating enthusiasts to learn more about rope performance, rope choice, and hands-on splicing techniques.
