From Local to Global and Across the Ocean: Why Coastal Communities Hold the Key to Ocean Conservation by Maria Honig
Maria Honig, Initiative Lead for the World Wide Fund for Nature’s Coastal Community‑Led Conservation Initiative, works with communities across 33 countries to protect our oceans. In this talk, she will share stories from her own journey — including sailing from Cape Town to Cape Horn — alongside inspiring accounts from coastal communities worldwide. Her reflections highlight innovative approaches to marine conservation and the power of grassroots action.
Join us at 18h00 in the Main Hall for an evening of inspiration, learning, and ocean stewardship. All members and guests are welcome.
