Cape 31 takes UK (and IRC) by storm
The first Cape 31 in the UK ‘Tokoloshe III’ has produced an incredible series of results under IRC, winning the Royal Southern Land Union September Regatta and the light airs Hamble Winter Series Autumn Regatta, both times in the IRC 1 fleet comprised of the best IRC boats up to 40’ in the Solent. As Yachts and Yachting said: “Everyone knew the Cape 31 was quick in a blow, they now know she is quick in the light too!”.
Earlier in the year she also won the Southampton Frostbite Series and the Royal Southern Summer Series, doubling her appeal from being the sexiest high performance One Design to a capable IRC performer as well. Class momentum is growing to become the performance fleet in the Solent in the wake of the Fast40s, book a test sail at the new Class website http://www.cape31uk.com which has just gone live with some great images from Rick Tomlinson.
Not only is the first Cape 31 in the UK doing exceptionally well, but she is also skippered by an RCYC member David Bartholomew.
