Can you believe we are almost half way through April? This year seems to be flying along, many say April and May are the most incredible days to be on the water and with that in mind, the Sailing Calendar have some great events scheduled. We look forward to seeing you all at the Club over the coming weeks.
Winter Wednesday Twilight Racing:
There has been demand to extend the Twilight racing beyond March. The majority of people who responded to our survey have asked for a 17h00 start time. This means the longest we can continue sailing is until the end of April, as the sun then sets at 18h04. With our regular volunteers unable to assist with the earlier start time due to work commitments, the Sailing Office will run the bridge with a single start at 17h00. We will run three fun Twilight races on 14, 21 and 28 April. This will allow us to gauge the level of support for Twilight racing starting an hour earlier.
Please will you email the sailing office at sailadmin@rcyc.co.ca to enter for these races and state whether you are sailing spinnaker or non-spinnaker.
